Addie Bevard

          1873-1945

We begin our story in Canada in 1873, where a little girl named Addie was born.  When she was about one year old, she and her family moved to lower Michigan, some where around Muskegon, where she grew up.  She had two brothers, two sisters, a dog named Roudy, a billy goat named Billy, and she raised guinea pigs.  Addie walked to school  everyday.  She was around nineteen or twenty when she went on her first date.

She got married to Charles Bevard.  They had five children, but three of them died very early.  Addie and Charles had ten grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and twenty-four great great grandchildren.  Addie got around by walking or by using horses.

Even  though she had the skills to work, she never  worked outside of the house.  She was really good at keeping house, baking and sewing. Her favorite singer was Kate Smith.  She read the Bible and went to church every Sunday.  Her favorite family tradition was having holiday dinners.  The biggest events in her lifetime were World Wars I and II, the automobile and electricity.

In her spare time she liked to sing and sew.  One of her favorite memories was having children.  She traveled from lower Michigan to upper Michigan and from Canada to Michigan.  Adeline lived from 1873-1945.
